Final Cut Pro Timestamps for YouTube

Final Cut Pro Timestamps for YouTube

Set up Chapter Marker timestamps (timecodes) in Final Cut Pro (FCP) for Dad’s video, so you can easily skip to the next song. And the Chapter Markers work great in Quicktime but YouTube (YT) did not import them, even though I chose that option during import to YT.

Have to manually copy the Chapter Markers timestamps from FCP then add each song title. Will then need to add this info to the YouTube video’s description field.

And, voila, timestamps on Dad’s video! (have to click Show More in the video description to see them)

Note: even though the timestamps copied from FCP are in the format of 00:00:00:00 (hour:min:sec:1/10 sec), only 00:00:00 (hour:min:sec) and 00:00 (min:sec) timestamps work in the YouTube description field.
